Redesign of an app

Description

This was a semester project during the Master Study Service Systems Design.

Diversity is pervasive in our everyday life and technology, despite its evolution, we (humans) still cannot develop and maintain the social relationship that transcend geographical and cultural backgrounds.

WeNet addresses this gap by providing a diversity-aware, machine-mediated paradigm of social relations. The goal is connecting people that can support each other, and the key is leveraging their diversity.

Main insigths:
77% of students experience conflicts when working in groups, due to contradicting personalities.

My role:
Service Designer, I did desk research and qualitative research, low and high fidelity prototypes, mockups and user tests.

Methods
User interviews, Brain Writing, User journey Mapping, Mockups, Prototyping and User testing.

Outcome
An extension to the AAU student app. The PBL assistant makes it easier for students at Aalborg University to create valuable project groups. This is done based on profile matching using Machine Learning.
